Fans Get A Legal Notice From SidharthMalhotra

Fans Get A Legal Notice From SidharthMalhotra

Sidharth Malhotra, the ‘Student Of The Year’ star recently sent a legal notice to a fake fan club which was selling merchandise under his name without the actor’s permission.

The owners of this fake website who boasts to be huge fans of the actor were misusing Sidharth’s name to earn huge amount of money by fooling his fans. The actor was left with no choice but to take legal action against them. Sidharth Malhotra’s spokeperson said, “There are over 31 Sidharth Malhotra Fan Clubs online and they’re genuine Fan Clubs. The reason a legal notice was sent to the fake website is because it was a pirate and selling merchandise without permission.”

The actor being a polite guy took a courteous approach towards this. But, the matter got worse eventually when companies started getting in touch with Sidharth. They informed him about some fans who are accosting them on behalf of the actor. Someone from the actor’s team ordered for a T-shirt to check the activities and responsiveness of this fake fan club which was acceded by the owners.

Sidharth was forced to send a legal notice to the fake website owners to stop selling merchandise on his name.

IF THERE IS SUNNY LEONE THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING SEXY

“Boom” fame director Kaizad Gustad says Indo-Canadian porn star-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone is not just eye candy in his film “Jackpot”. In fact, she is the mastermind of all that happens in the film.

“If you have Sunny Leone in your film, it cannot happen that you don’t have something sexy about her. But she is not just a prop or background or eye candy to look pretty (in the film),” Gustad said here in an interview.

“I have actually given her a role where she is playing a kind of femme fatale… She is the actual mastermind of all the ‘jhol’ (mischief) in the film. I’ve tried to portray her in a very intelligent way,” he added.

“Jackpot”, set in Goa, also features Naseeruddin Shah and Sachiin Joshi. It marks the Bollywood debut of Tamil actor Bharat.

The director is impressed with Sunny’s hard work and said that it’s always nice for a filmmaker to work with actors who are as dedicated as her.

“What I liked about Sunny is her determination and hard work. I found it very refreshing. She is always on time, always ready, waiting and listening and wanting to do more,” Gustad said.

Sunny made her Bollywood debut with “Jism 2″. She rose to popularity in India after her stint on the fifth season of TV reality show “Bigg Boss”.

HRITHIK BANG BANG WITH KATRINA

Hrithik Roshan will soon be seen on the sets again. The shooting of his next film, Bang Bang, commences in mid November. The third schedule of Siddharth Anand’s next was supposed to go on the floors from July 10, but the actor’s hospitalization (last month) brought the plans to a halt.

‘I am doubly charged and looking forward to resuming my amazing journey with the team of Bang Bang from mid November. We promise to give our best to making the film one of the finest ever,’ says Hrithik, who teams up with Katrina Kaif after Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) in this action-entertainer.

On the other hand, Siddharth explains why they have chosen November to start the film.

He says, ‘Hrithik is raring to go and his enthusiasm is infectious. But his home production Krrish 3′s release (on November 4) is around the same time and he will be fully involved with its promotions. So we decided to start the third schedule of Bang Bang in mid-November.’

The film was earlier slotted for a May release, but will now come out on October 2, 2014. `Given Hrithik’s revised schedule, we are now resuming our shoot in mid-November and have decided to lock the four-day Dusshera weekend of 2014.

So we will come all guns blazing on October 2, and the date will coincide with the country’s festive season,’ says Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios, producers of the film.

Hrithik underwent a successful brain surgery at Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital on July 7. A few days later, he was discharged and has since been busy with the promotions and post production work on the superhero flick, Krrish 3.

DEEPIKA IS STRIKING GOLD IS IT HER YEAR AT THE BOX OFFICE?

After debuting with a blockbuster in 2007, Deepika Padukone has hardly lost the taste of success. With “Race 2″, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and now “Chennai Express” striking gold at the box office this year, one of Bollywood’s star actresses says success is nothing but “relative”, Is it her year at the box office?

“If people are saying it’s my year, it depends on my films,” Deepika said in an interview.

“I think these things are relative. It feels nice to hear or to read about it. But, more importantly, I have been working really hard. I know I have pushed myself and sacrificed a lot of personal and family time. But in the end if the result is like this, you don’t mind. But, yes, I think success is relative,” she added.

Deepika’s “Chennai Express”, starring her “Om Shanti Om” co-star Shah Rukh Khan seems to be on its way to breaking records at the box office. The film released Friday to a roaring opening day response.

The more the success, the tougher it gets to keep up to it, believes Deepika, who made a rare successful transition from modelling to filmdom.

“I have to focus all my energies and hope that the next film is better. It does not get easier to live up to all of that. I want that with every film, the love, success and experience increase,” said the 27-year-old daughter of former national badminton champion Prakash Padukone.

In her over five-year-long film career, the actress has been a part of various movie genres – thriller, romance, action, drama and comedy. She finds comedy the toughest.

“Comedy is the most difficult. Comic timing is something which you either have it in you, or you don’t. You have to have a good sense of humour to be able to understand it. A split second can make you lose the punch.

“As actors, it is very difficult to perform it the same way every time, for the audience to find it funny,” she said.

Yet, she seems to have given it a shot for “Chennai Express”, directed by the new age master of Bollywood comedies, Rohit Shetty. In the past, he has made the “Golmaal” series and comic hit “Bol Bachchan”.

How was it working with him?

“I believe that he has his own school and style. It was a new style for me. His way of taking shots and directing his actors is different. He always had everything planned,” she said.

But he gave her enough room to try to improvise on her character named Meena in “Chennai Express”.

“It was tough for me as I had to speak in a Tamil accent. With your director, you can also discuss and say that you feel like doing this (a certain thing). And if it works for the scene, then you do it,” she said.

Working with Shah Rukh again was also a pleasant experience as she feels nothing about him has changed.

“He is still as caring, loving, charming, giving and protective. For me, there was no difference from ‘Om Shanti Om’. Even though it took us five years to come back (in a film), we were always in touch,” she said.

"We took time because we were certain about taking up a project, which was as special as our first movie. 'Om Shanti Om' will always be special to me as it was my first Bollywood film," says ‪Deepikapadukone‬in an interaction with IBNLive on her upcoming movie 'Chennai Express".

MY HOLLYWOOD ROLE SHOULD MAKE INDIANS PROUD: SHAH RUKH KHAN

Not interested in taking up a stereotypical role created for Asians in Hollywood, Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan says “to get a role not specific to my colour or the way I speak or act is very difficult”.

He has been active in Hindi films for over two decades, has featured in more than 80 films and won the tag of “superstar”, but the 47-year-old has yet to find a suitable role in international films.

A hugely popular actor in many countries, one whose face has become synonymous with the huge draw of the Indian film industry, particularly the Mumbai-based Hindi film industry, King Khan feels he doesn’t have the USP to work in Hollywood.

Asked what made him think so, he said: “I didn’t talk in terms of fan following.”

“I think the kind of role I would want to do in a Hollywood film is one that makes India proud. To get a role like that is not specific to my colour, or the way I speak, look or act or my age, it’s very difficult,” SRK told in an exclusive interview.

“I mean you can’t go to a big filmmaking world and say write a role for a 47-year-old actor who is brown, has hair like this, acts this way, dances a bit… the role should be something that Indians should be proud of. It’s too specific for me to have a USP.”

He however appreciated Indian faces who are doing well on the international arena.

“There are a few young boys and girls, who are doing really well internationally, and I pray they make it big,” he said.

Shah Rukh relishes and cherishes all the love and attention showered on him on the home turf and is set to woo his fans with “Chennai Express”.

In fact, he is right now busy driving the buzz around the comedy drama, coming out Friday, his first film with new age master of comedies Rohit Shetty.

Sharing his experience of working with Shetty, Shah Rukh said: “Rohit is fantastically organised. The best part about him is that he has a group of 200 trained people working under him. Rohit knows what he wants. He always delivers the best.”

“Chennai Express”, Shah Rukh’s second film with Deepika Padukone after the 2007 super duper hit “Om Shanti Om”, has a popular train scene from his “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” (DDLJ).

Interestingly, in “Chennai Express” the name of Shah Rukh’s character is Rahul, a screen title he has donned in a string of hits.

He confesses to being a director’s actor.

“I’m a director’s actor. I belong to a world which directors create. I enjoy being with them in their world. I want the world to see me as an actor who moulds himself according to the character his director creates for him,” said Shah Rukh.

The Hindi film industry, which is celebrating its 100 years this year, has evolved with new filmmakers enlivening the silver screen with new subjects, Shah Rukh said, adding it’s not a new trend.

“There’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Barfi!’… all kinds of films are being made, which is good,” said Shah Rukh.

“There have always been all kinds of filmmakers who make films like ‘Iron Man’, ‘Batman’ and ‘Chak De! India’. It’s always parallel. When I did DDLJ, there was ‘Maya Memsaab’ too.

“I always try to work on a different genre. I feel the industry has given me name, fame and money and I won’t ever forgive myself if I won’t do anything beneficial for Indian cinema and my fans.”

From romantic to villainous and from action to superhero – SRK has delved into a variety of roles.

Asked how he is in real life, Shah Rukh said: “I am a little like all of them. There are parts and portions of me that you see in my characters also. If I play a father, I do it the way I would do it with my kids. If I play a lover, I behave the same way I am in real life. I would say I am a funny person but also gentle and kind.”

Actor Hrithik Roshan feels that Hollywood films like ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Iron Man 3′ have raised the bar for superhero movies but he is ready to face competition. “When we saw the look of ‘The Avengers’, ‘Iron Man 3′, ‘Superman’… it was awesome… they had raised the bar… They have taken it to another level. We had to stand up and face competition, ” Hrithik told reporters here at the trailer launch of ‘Krrish 3′.

“Why not compete with them and find out what we can do, ” he said. ‘Krrish 3′ has Hrithik, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles.

The film boasts of special effects, which director Rakesh Roshan decided to get it done here to encourage and promote local talent. Even as everyone is looking forward to the release, Hrithik wants to keep everything relating to the movie under wraps.

“I would not like to talk about my powers… want to keep it a suspense, ” he said. In the third installment of this superhero series, Vivek and Kangana are the new additions. They both play antagonists. “I loved working with the Roshans. . they are genuine, large hearted.

I believe if you have a legendary director like Rakesh Roshan then you can play any character convincingly, it is his brilliance… he has created the character, ” Vivek said.

“The credit goes to writers and Rakesh sir, ” he said. It was Hrithik, who wanted to play the evil character played by Vivek but the director was not convinced. “I wanted to play the villian.

I think my dad was biased. But thank God I am not playing Vivek’s role as after looking at him on screen I feel only he could do this. He has done a phenomenal job, ” Hrithik said. Kangana too is happy to play a negative character.

“For the first time playing a negative role… I have an unconventional look. I am sexy but wicked. I enjoy being called sexy, ” she said. The film is set to release on November 4.

Shilpa Shirodkar: I never missed Bollywood!

Shilpa Shirodkar: I never missed Bollywood!

Wowed by the corporate culture and technological revolution in showbiz, the popular actor from the 1990s, is happy to start her second innings

Shilpa Shirodkar says working in a corporatised atmosphere will be a different ball game and she is ready for the cultural shock.

“I never missed Bollywood. I didn’t have time to do that. I have a beautiful family. I am very happy being a mother and full-time homemaker,” said Shilpa, who has shifted residence to Mumbai and busy shooting in this Delhi suburb of her comeback vehicle, Zee TV’s new show Ek Muthi Aasman based on the life on domestic helps.

“Now that I have shifted (to Mumbai) after 10 years, I got the offer; it just happened and I agreed to do it. Honestly, I didn’t have to try hard for it,” added the actor who confessed that during the last decade, not even once did she miss the arclights, which she gave up when she got married.

A mother of nine-year-old daughter Anushka, the actor, who won the hearts of many with her work in Kishen Kanhaiya (1989) and Khuda Gawah (1993), is a firm believer in the institution of marriage. “I promote marriage to everybody. I have got a fantastic husband and a beautiful daughter. I lost my parents suddenly, one after the other. But my in-laws are my support system. My sister (actor) Namrata Shirodkar stays in Hyderabad. We have shifted here (to India) to be with them,” Shilpa shared.

Now that Shilpa has begun shooting for Ek Muthi Aasman, she realises how the film and the TV industry have evolved. “The TV and the film industries have evolved undoubtedly over all these years. People have become more professional and disciplined. The whole corporate culture has come in and there’s a lot more exposure and opportunities. I think it would be great working now…it was organised in the 1980s, but it wasn’t like this. It’s beautiful and fun,” said Shilpa.

“There were very few channels earlier and less media attention,” she added.

Shilpa, who also featured in films like Hum, Aankhen and Gopi Kishan, enjoys working with new technologies. “Earlier, while shooting, the director used to say cut after each shot while standing behind the camera…and that’s it. There wasn’t any monitor to see the shot. Sometimes when we used to see the scene, we used to feel terrible. In those days, only a few producers and directors used to agree to reshoot scenes. But now it’s amazing. You can see yourself on the monitor after every shot. You can edit it, add graphics and a lot more. It’s amazing,” said Shilpa.

As far as films are concerned, the 43-year-old would like to work with filmmakers like Karan Johar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. “Karan Johar makes beautiful love stories and I was amazed to see Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Go Goa Gone. But I think I am too old to work with Saif Ali Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Beautiful, inspiring films are being made in Indian cinema,” said Shilpa, who also said that Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha are her all-time favourite actors.

Amidst all the good things, she rues the current overdose of glamour and paparazzi. “Back in the 1990s, there was growth for an actor. Her costumes, makeup and dialogues used to change with every film. But now, from first film to the last, an actor pretty much looks the same. I am surely going to have a cultural shock. I have changed…I have grown over all these years and I’ll take my own time to be comfortable in the industry,” said Shilpa.

Asked if she has met her previous co-stars like Govinda and Anil Kapoor, she said: “No, I haven’t. I don’t party. I do attend events. May be after the show, I’ll start meeting people again. Right now I am very happy in my space.”

B. A PASS PASSES, OTHERS FAIL: WAS IT THE SEX THAT DID IT?

Belying all expectations one of the films released in the pre-Eid week actually managed to get some solid attention. Was it the sex that did it for B. A Pass? Or was it the very impressive reviews? The film by first-time director Ajay Bahl opened to expectedly low numbers but picked up with subsequent shows.

Most impressive for a film that features no major stars in the cast and is a dark brooding study of Delhi’s underbelly.

Director Ajay Bahl who went through a period of unbearable financial and emotional struggle to get the film in theatres sounds like a relieved man. ‘I almost gave up at one time. Glad I hung on. The appreciation has been very reassuring. It proves I am on the right track.’

Chennai Express coming Friday would no doubt put a brake on B A Pass. Ajay Bahl is prepared for that. ‘We knew all along we were coming close to a juggernaut that could mow us down. But now that the film’s collections have shown a jump of 35-40 percent, we are hoping audiences would want to see something else too along with Chennai Express.’

As expected the other films released this week are unimitigated disasters. Rajesh’s interestingly scripted Chor Chor Super Chor never stood a chance.

Amrit Sagar’s Rabba Main Kya Karoon is a setback for debutant Akash Chopra who comes from an impressive lineage (he is the well-known filmmaker and television producer Ramanand Sagar’s grandson).

Akash is the second star-son in two weeks after Rati Agnihotri’s son Tanuj Virwani last week to face a flop debut.

But both the newcomers are confident, spirited and optimistic. In fact Akash Chopra is also a musician. He has composed two of the songs in Rabba Main Kya Karoon and had done the entire background music for his brother Amrit Sagar’s previous directorial vehicle the war saga 1971.

All these films have Chennai Express to deal with next week. Plus Bhaag Milkha Bhaag with a tax exemption in many states has got a new lease of life.

25 RETAKES FOR ONE SCENE LEAVE MADHURI FUMING

Madhuri Dixit apparently kept forgetting her lines in Urdu for her next film ‘Dedh Ishqiya’. She’s been a part of the industry for decades but looks like even Madhuri Dixit is not perfect. The actress apparently had to shoot for 25 retakes for her upcoming film as she just couldn’t get her lines right.

A source says, ‘Mads plays a begum in Abhishek Choubey’s sequeal of Ishqiya and she has to speak some lines in Urdu. For one particular scene, she just couldn’t mouth them accurately. She was furious with herself.’

Apparently so angry was Madhuri that she stalled the day’s shoot. However, she managed the correct lines the next day. ‘Madhuri is generally considered a one-take actress but even she had a tough day, ` adds the source.

SUNNY LEONE GOES BOLD WITH SACHIN JOSHI IN ‘JACKPOT’

Actress Sunny Leone, who was seen in a dare-bare role in Bollywood film “Jism 2″, has shot a bold scene with actor Sachin Joshi for new film “Jackpot”. They are in Goa to shoot the film, and Sachin guarantees that the bold scene has been well-shot.

“We shot for a bold sequence, and now I would like to leave it to the audience. I am not allowed to talk much about that scene. I can assure you it is shot aesthetically and it doesn’t look odd,” Sachin told.

The film is directed by Kaizad Gustad, who made the 1998 film “Bombay Boys”, followed by “Boom” in 2003.

Talking about Sunny, Gustad said: “Sunny will be seen in a very edgy and sharp character. She is playing a sophisticated woman. Yes, there is a bold scene in the film between Sunny and Sachin.”

GRAND MASTI GIRL KAINAAT ARORA TO SIZZLE IN ‘HATE STORY 2′ ITEM SONG

After doing item number “Aila re aila” and movie “Grand Masti”, model-actress Kainaat Arora is set to scorch the screen with another pulsating song in “Hate Story 2″. The actress will shoot for the song by the end of the month. It has been sung by Mamta Sharma of “Munni badnaam hui” fame and Ganesh Acharya will choreograph it.

“I worked with Ganesh for ‘Grand Masti’ title song and the experience was very good. This would be my second song with him. This one is an item song. It is a T-series film and it is a very big track,” she told.

Kainaat entered filmdom with “Aila re aila” in “Khatta Meetha” and was seen shaking a leg with Akshay Kumar. Post the song, she moved to the southern film industry.

“After ‘Khatta Meetha’, I didn’t want to do any item songs. I was getting calls from big films, but I didn’t want to be typecast. I was only getting offers for songs. I did a song with Ajith Kumar (in ‘Mankatha’). I thought it would better to do a song with Ajith Kumar as he is a big name down south.

“Also, I did a song for a Malayalam film. When I came back, I was sure that I would rather wait than do a song,” she said.

Her patience paid off as she bagged a role in “Grand Masti”, in which she is paired with Vivek Oberoi.

“Then ‘Grand Masti’ happened. After the film got over, I got a call from T-series. I thought ‘Grand Masti’ is coming and that link (of only doing item numbers) will break,” she said.

“Grand Masti”, an adult comedy, is coming out Sep 6.

We all know, that Savita Bhabhi’s cartoon strip was banned in India due to his highly volatile content. Let’s see what happens to Rozlyn aka Saina.

I’M SHOCKED, WE WELCOME A PORNISH STARS AND FROWN AT INDIA’S OWN DAUGHTER: POONAM

Chronic shocker Poonam Pandey is now in shock. A political party has been pulling down the posters of her debut film Nasha. Poonam is a little hurt. ‘This has hurt me. I don’t normally allow myself to get affected. But I never expected I’d be targeted this way for my first film. It has made me nervous.

I knew I wouldn’t be welcomed with open arms into cinema. I’ve no godfather, no support from the industry. But I didn’t expect to be welcomed in this way. What have I done that is so scandalous?’

Tongue-in-cheek, Poonam lashes out at the hypocrisy of showbiz. ‘I don’t think I’ve ever crossed limits. I’ve always said more than I’ve done. I’ve seen so many posters and hoardings that are far more suggestive than mine. My posters have nothing scandalous in them. I haven’t shown my private parts.’

Poonam admits she is nervous because of the negative attention. ‘People in this country give so much respect to a pornish actress from abroad. Whereas I have never done anything that can be considered like this.

Mere jaisi bechari si lakdi ko target kiya jaa rahi hai. I have never crossed limits. Nasha is not a pornish film. It’s a proper mainstream Hindi film. Of course since I star in it there’s skin show. But that apart there is a lot to take away from the film.’

Poonam feels targeted. ‘Why me? I just feel some elements are trying to cash in on my popularity.

The doughty devil-may-care Mumbai girl maintains the image and the individual are the same. ‘What you see and read of me on the internet is what I am. It isn’t as if me and my team sat down and scripted an entirely different Poonam Pandey for the public. Main aisi hi hoon. It isn’t as if I become a different person at home. To my parent’s dismay, I am the same at home and in public.’

She laughs heartily. ‘My parents don’t like the way I conduct myself. Though I’ve been born and brought up in Mumbai, we’re from a conservative Brahmin family. My behaviour is quite shocking to my family. Lekin main kya karoon? This is the way I am.’

HOW ‘BA PASS’ COUPLE PREPARED FOR THEIR LOVE SCENES

Before shooting intimate scenes, Ajay Bahl instructed the lead actors of his next to refrain from speaking to each other. Usually before filming a lovemaking scene, the director in command hopes that his actors know each other enough to be comfortable once the cameras start rolling. But the director of the upcoming BA Pass had a slightly different plan leading to some awkward moments on the sets.

Ajay Bahl didn’t want Shilpa Shukla and Shadab Kamal to talk to each other. So much so that he once even reprimanded them for hanging out on the sets together. ‘Not only Shilpa, I even instructed the ADs (assistant directors) to stay away from Shadab.

I wanted him to feel like an outsider in the room. I have to admit that I was bit of a tyrant. No wonder I often cracked the Chak De! India dialogue: Agar iss team mei koi gunda hai toh mai hoon,’ quips the debutant filmmaker.

So what exactly was the idea behind maintaining off-screen distance between the protagonists? ‘It was for a reason. There’s no closeness as such between them in the film.

Even the physical intimacy they have is more perfunctory than anything. The attraction is basically from the guy’s end whereas Shilpa’s character Sarika is way too cold. So my plan was to make sure familiarity doesn’t seep into the frame and ruin this factor,’ sums up Ajay.
